Yiming Tang is a Chinese painter based in New York. He received his BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2025.
Working primarily through painting, Tang investigates the incomplete nature of human connection and the role of feedback in shaping individual existence. His works depict figures suspended within unstable relationships, unresolved narratives, and psychologically charged spaces. Drawing influence from cinematic language, he uses distorted forms, nonlinear compositions, and heightened color contrasts to construct images that resist closure while inviting prolonged contemplation.
